"Bee Mine" Honeybee

The Honey Bee is a flying insect in the genus Apis. While the honey bee is just one of several thousand species of bee, it is widely known for its construction of hives and the key role it plays in the pollination of crops and plants. 
The crochet honey bee is an adorable plush representative of the insects many of us have grown to love and appreciate. The project is based from the pattern of a 30 rw sphere with standard polyester yarn. Atop the front of the head, two black antennas (also made of polyester yarn) are sewn on just above the eyes (made of plastic buttons). White wings are stitched with yarn and attached to the top of the body. To give the project some personality, bright pink cheeks are embroidered onto the project. (:
