Kodama

Kodama

The Kodama is a spirit of Japanese folklore that inhabit trees. In some recantations of the lore, they are said to look like trees. These spirits are very gentle in nature, and it is said that when someone cuts down a Kodama's tree, they become cursed. When one hears the sound of a falling tree, it is actually a Kodama's cry.

The Amigurumi Kodama is a very simple pattern, and it will only take a few days to make. It is stitched with polyester yarn and then stuffed with Poly-fiber fill. The arms and mouth are all sewn onto the body. The eyes are hot glued on (so please be careful when exposing your Kodama to little ones). The pattern only takes about two days to make; however, since I do not crochet full-time, please order in accordance to the 1-2 week stitching time. (:
